PIKE Recruitment 101 (For First-Time PIKE University Attendees)

Recruitment is the lifeblood of our Fraternity. This newly-revised session is for all first-time PIKE University attendees. This sessions covers the foundational "why" and "how" of recruitment and what makes a winning recruitment program. This session will also cover how new members and newly-initiated members can become one-on-one recruitment experts.

Health & Safety: Conducting a Health & Safety Audit for You Chapter (For Second-Time and PIKE University Certified Attendees)

This practical session is ideal for the transition of new officers and developing a review process for chapter's health & safety systems, operations, and documented procedures not only annually but also after an "incident" occurs. Participants will be provided with an audit guide specific to Pi Kappa Alpha with guidance for integrating campus specific health & safety expectations.

Origins & History of Pi Kappa Alpha Ritual (Password required for entry. The passcode is the first word of the password used to gain admittance to a chapter meeting)
This session for initiated members will provide a general overview of the Founders and history of Ritual of Pi Kappa Alpha. Purpose, values, and symbolism of the Fraternity will be discussed during this session.

Introduction to Ritual and Values for Non-Initiates
This session is designed to demonstrate how members of Pi Kappa Alpha should live their lives through Ritual and values each day whether they are a new member, colony member, or an initiated brother. This session displays the Fraternity’s values though the True PIKE commitments and the preamble.

5:10 PM – 6:10 PM ET

Advanced Recruitment Case Study and Action Planning (For Second-Time and PIKE University Certified Attendees)

In this advanced, interactive session, attendees will be examining a chapter recruitment scenario. Groups will review the case study and create a recruitment action plan based on a template provided for each scenario then groups will present their action plan and findings. This is as close to being a chapter consultant as it gets.

Health & Safety 101: Do the Right Thing (For First-Time PIKE University Attendees)

First-time attendees will engage in an interactive dialogue about how PIKE health & safety should be showing up in the chapter, resources available to support chapter health & safety efforts, and the obligation of each member to support those efforts.

5:10 PM – 7:10 PM ET

PIKE Volunteer: Power Hour (For Volunteers and Alumni)

This session will cover conversations on the current climate at your chapter/university as well as updates from the International Fraternity that directly affect you as a volunteer.

6:15 PM – 7:15 PM ET
Networking with Your Region (For All Attendees)

This session gives attendees an opportunity to meet and familiarize themselves with their chapter consultant and regional president. This session also provides attendees with an opportunity to network with other attendees from their region.

Creating Your Ideal Organization: Going from Good to Great (For First-Time PIKE University Attendees)

This session for first-time PIKE University event attendees will give individuals the opportunity to learn and discuss characteristics and operations that make fraternity chapters great. Attendees will return to their chapter with a better sense of operations and programming to make their chapter better.

COVID-19 Operations Panel (For Second-Time and PIKE University Certified Attendees and Volunteers)

This session for volunteers and attendees who have attended two or more PIKE University events will provide an opportunity to ask questions and discuss chapter operations amid COVID-19 with a panel of chapter leaders.

10:05 AM – 11:05 AM ET

Leadership Lecture Series Speaker (For All Attendees)

Jeffrey McCracken (Wayne State, Delta Nu '88), Managing Editor of

The Leadership Lecture series highlights a prominent Pi Kappa Alpha alumnus and gives him the opportunity to share some insight into what has led to his personal and professional success. Whether it is based in leadership principle and theory or acquired through trial and error, many of these experiences trace back to undergraduate experiences in the Fraternity.

11:10 AM – 12:10 PM ET

Be Color Brave, Not Color Blind (For All Attendees)

Delving into the subjects of diversity, equity, and inclusion, this session engages for all attendees in a dialogue designed to increase cultural competency and lay the foundation for new and different perspectives.

12:15 PM – 1:15 PM ET

Leadership Panel (For All Attendees)

This session will give attendees an opportunity to ask questions and discuss governance and chapter operations with International Fraternity Volunteers and Staff.
