Theta Sigma Wins House of the Quarter Award
Posted on Jan 16, 2020
Theta Sigma Chapter (Winthrop) recently completed the fifth phase of a major renovation project that builds upon the success of their Chapter Improvement Project of the Year in 2018-19. This work was completed by both the undergraduate and alumni members and was overseen by the house corporation. The projects completed during this phase included repairs to the stairs, interior painting, pressure washing of the entire house, work on the flower beds, installation of 55 tons of landscaping rocks, painting the new deck, installation of new carpet and padding upstairs, and installation of baseboards throughout the entire house.
The chapter performs weekly housekeeping along with general upkeep each Sunday before the executive board and regular chapter meetings. They clean inside the house as well as outside areas, including the parking lot.
Theta Sigma’s adherence to the Fraternity’s recommended Operation and Condition Standards (OCS) enables them to effectively manage their house. View the Operations & Conditions Standards for Chapter Houses Self Evaluation.
