Preston Hausser Recognized as Pike of the Month for September 2019

MEMPHIS, TN - Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity is pleased to announce Preston Hausser (Vanderbilt, Sigma ’18) as the September 2019 Pike of the Month. Pike of the Month award recipients demonstrate the True Pike ideals, working to improve themselves and having a positive impact on their chapters, campuses, and communities.
Hausser, a junior at Vanderbilt University, was nominated for demonstrating superior leadership in his chapter, on campus, and in the community.
Hausser serves as squad leader and recruiting coordinator of the university’s Army ROTC. He is a member of the club baseball team and student manager for the varsity baseball program. Hausser, an Eagle Scout, also works as a backpacking guide at Philmont Scout Ranch, where he educates young men on camping, hiking, and life skills. In the classroom, Hausser has maintained a 3.6 GPA and a presence on the Dean’s List.
Within Sigma Chapter, he serves as member development chair. In this role, he led the chapter to initiate its largest new member class in recent chapter history. He is a vocal advocate within the Greek community to eliminate hazing and other harmful behaviors.
Hausser will graduate with a degree in communication studies and history. Following graduation, he hopes to attend law school.
