Jacob Bruce Selected As FSPAC Board Director
Posted on May 23, 2018
The Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity is excited to announce that Jacob Bruce (Colony at Kentucky) has been selected as one of the two student representatives on the Fraternity and Sorority Political Action Committee’s board of directors.
The FSPAC was founded in 2005 and is one of the largest bipartisan, non-connected political action committees in the country. The FSPAC exists to support the election of federal candidates who are either alumni of college fraternities and sororities or have supported public policy choices that preserve and enhance the role of fraternities and sororities on campus today.
On campus, Bruce has served as the student government association’s leadership development program coordinator, as a student orientation leader, as the national communications coordinator for the university’s resident student association, and as the chapter director of public relations for Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society. A recipient of the Chellgren Student Fellowship, he is completing publication of a research project detailing how 20th century European and global conflicts have impacted modern political institutions within Europe.
Bruce previously served the colony as internal vice president and is an active participant in the colony’s philanthropic efforts including PIKE Paint Wars benefitting Greenhouse17, a shelter for victims of domestic violence. He also volunteers his time serving as an ambassador of the university’s visitor center to help new students become acclimated to college life.
Bruce is double majoring in political science and history, and currently serves as president of the Colony at Kentucky. After graduation, he plans to attend law school. To learn more about this organization go to: https://fspac.org/
