JT Murphy (Lousiville, Kappa Zeta '17), November 2019 Pike of the Month

MEMPHIS, TN - Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity is pleased to announce JT Murphy (Louisville, Kappa Zeta ’17) as the November 2019 Pike of the Month. Pike of the Month award recipients demonstrate the True Pike ideals, working to improve themselves and having a positive impact on their chapters, campuses, and communities.

Murphy, a junior at the University of Louisville, was nominated for demonstrating superior leadership in his chapter, on campus, and in the community.

He currently serves his chapter as vice president of communications. He is also the director of communications for the chapter’s annual philanthropy event, Spin for Steven. Previously, he served as membership development chair, fundraising chair, intramural coordinator, social media chair, and as a member of the judicial board.

On campus, Murphy is a student ambassador for the College of Business. He is also the director of faculty relations for the college’s student council. He previously served as a campus tour guide.

Murphy volunteers as a tutor for the chapter’s Cardinal Club, a tutoring program for elementary school students. He has also facilitated service events at a local senior center.

Murphy will graduate with degrees in marketing and economics. Following graduation, he plans to pursue a career in sports marketing.
