Arriola, a senior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, was nominated for demonstrating superior leadership in his chapter, on campus, and in the community.
Arriola is very active on and off campus and has held many offices in campus activities such as the Director of Risk for IFC, Vice President of the Nebraska Student Union Advisory Board and is VP Of Member Development of the Student Alumni Association. Along with these offices, he also participates in the National Senior Honorary Society, Order of Omega Greek Honor Society and the UNL Advisory Board.
He has also helped raise a little under $4000 during an annual parents banquet and has lead the chapter’s marketing efforts through his role as merchandise chair by designing new shirts and apparel that are worn on campus by members and those of the Greek community.
Additionally, Arriola has served his chapter as parent relations chairman, merchandise chairman, chaplain, IFC director of risk, and is currently the IFC president.
As a marketing major, Arriola hopes to work in his hometown of Grand Island, NE with a non-profit that he has created that encourages business growth in the tri-city area. He has also made headlines when he won homecoming court and proposed to his girlfriend during halftime of their homecoming game.
