DJ Lienhard Recognized as Pike of the Month for March 2019

MEMPHIS, TN - Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity is pleased to announce DJ Lienhard (Tulsa, Gamma Upsilon ’17) as the March 2019 Pike of the Month. Pike of the Month award recipients demonstrate the True Pike ideals, working to improve themselves and having a positive impact on their chapters, campuses, and communities.
Lienhard, a sophomore at the University of Tulsa, was nominated for demonstrating superior leadership in his chapter, on campus, and in the community.
In the classroom, Lienhard has maintained a 3.8 GPA and a presence on the Dean’s Honor Roll. He is a Kansas Honor Scholar and was named as one of the university’s Top Ten Freshmen. He holds membership in both Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society and Omega Chi Epsilon Honor Society.
Lienhard serves the university as an orientation leader, student ambassador, and member of the Future Alumni Council. He is a student teacher for the Presidential Leaders Fellowship Program, instructed by University President Dr. Gerard Clancy, to develop freshmen leaders on campus. Lienhard participates in the Fellowship of Catholic University Students Discipleship Program and serves as the Master of Ceremonies at St. Phillip Neri Catholic Newman Center. He is a volunteer for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Cycle for Life; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tulsa; Tulsa Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals; and the American Cancer Society.
Lienhard is active in the Tulsa Undergraduate Research Program in the Natural Gas Analysis Lab. He is a published author for his work on the effect of promoted catalysts on methane dehydroaromatization. He is also a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
Within Gamma Upsilon Chapter, he currently serves as external vice president. Previously, he served as recruitment chairman, public relations chairman, campus involvement chairman, historian, IFC delegate, and new member class president. Additionally, he has been a member of the philanthropy board and social committee. In 2018, he was honored as the university’s Greek Initiate of the Year and as the chapter’s Brother of the Year.
Lienhard will graduate in 2021 with a degree in chemical engineering. At the conclusion of his sophomore year, he will complete an internship with EOG Resources in San Antonio, Texas.
