Alex Dukart (Nebraska-Omaha, Delta Chi ’18), January 2020 Pike of the Month

MEMPHIS, TN - Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity is pleased to announce Alex Dukart (Nebraska-Omaha, Delta Chi ’18) as the January 2020 Pike of the Month. Pike of the Month award recipients demonstrate the True Pike ideals, working to improve themselves and having a positive impact on their chapters, campuses, and communities.

Dukart, a junior at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, was nominated for demonstrating superior leadership in his chapter, on campus, and in the community.

Dukart currently serves Delta Chi Chapter as president. He previously served as internal vice president and alumni relations director. As internal vice president, he was instrumental in raising the chapter’s GPA. He has been recognized as new member of the year and scholar of the year by his brothers.

He has maintained a 4.0 GPA and a presence on the Chancellor’s List. He is a recipient of the Walter Scott, Jr. Scholarship, the most prestigious scholarship extended by the university. Dukart has held two electrical engineering scholarships during his collegiate career.

On campus, Dukart serves as vice president of operations for Dance Marathon and treasurer for Relay for Life. He is an active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society.

Dukart is a volunteer coach for Special Olympics Nebraska. He also volunteers for a local youth wrestling program and children’s ministry.

Dukart will graduate with a degree in architectural engineering before attending graduate school.
