Gamma Tau Chapter Giving Gifts to Kids at School 2

TROY, N.Y. - 327 students at School 2 in Troy, received an early Christmas gift thanks to a visit from a fraternity group at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

On Friday morning, RPI students from the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, also known as Pikes, continued its 15-year tradition of donating toys to every student at School 2 as part of their annual 'Pikes Presents' initiative. One fraternity student delivered the gifts to each classroom dressed as Santa Claus, while the other members were dressed as elves.

The Fraternity hosts the annual event at School 2 as a way to give back to the community. The group raised roughly $7,000 throughout the year in order to purchase the donated toys. The group also hands out a Dunkin’ Donuts gift card to each classroom teacher there.
