Hunter Hobby (Arkansas-Little Rock, Zeta Eta '17), December 2019 Pike of the Month

MEMPHIS, TN - Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity is pleased to announce Hunter Hobby (Arkansas-Little Rock, Zeta Eta ’17) as the December 2019 Pike of the Month. Pike of the Month award recipients demonstrate the True Pike ideals, working to improve themselves and having a positive impact on their chapters, campuses, and communities.

Hobby, a senior at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock, was nominated for demonstrating superior leadership in his chapter, on campus, and in the community.

He has held multiple positions within Zeta Eta Chapter, including internal vice president, new member educator, recruitment chairman, and sergeant-at-arms. As internal vice president, Hobby successfully raised the chapter’s GPA above school average. Under his leadership as new member educator, the chapter introduced a four-week process that resulted in 100 percent retention. Additionally, he is PIKE U Garnet Certified.

On campus, Hobby served as IFC president for two years. He also served as president of the American Society of Civil Engineers and was recognized as the Civil Engineering Student of the Year.

Hobby is an active member of the Baptist Collegiate Ministry. Following Hurricane Harvey, he traveled to Houston to volunteer with relief efforts. He has worked for several local and state political campaigns.

Hobby will graduate with a degree in civil engineering before beginning his career as a project engineer. He plans to attend graduate school to study transportation engineering.
