A Message to the PIKE Brotherhood
Posted on Apr 12, 2019
Below is a letter from Stan and Beth Caummisar, the parents of Blake Caummisar (Mississippi, Gamma Iota ’12).
To the members of Pi Kappa Alpha:
Beth and I are so grateful to play a role in launching the PIKE ULifeline resource. ULifeline will provide members of Pi Kappa Alpha with information about emotional health, the specific resources available on their respective campuses, and a confidential mental health self-screening tool. This resource is the direct result of the great love and dedication of many people wanting to memorialize our son, Blake Nicholas Caummisar (Mississippi, Gamma Iota ’12). Through this service, our tragic loss will be turned into a tangible resource for others who are suffering and don't know where to turn.
When we initially began our search to find a way to help other young men, their friends, and their families, we engaged Pi Kappa Alpha for direction since this is the demographic they serve. Appreciating our passion, and the pain that no parent should ever have to endure, the Fraternity worked with us to identify and deploy resources to protect its members. The Pi Kappa Alpha Foundation’s Blake Nicholas Caummisar Fund will provide funding for programs and initiatives to promote wellness and a healthy lifestyle for all Pikes.
With the help and financial support of loving friends and family; PIKE brothers and alumni; and gracious benefactors, we have arrived at the point where the fund can now offer a well-established and truly helpful program to all chapters. We hope and pray this program will provide direction and lifesaving assistance to those who feel they are without hope. We welcome your continued prayers and support so that this, and future health-related programs, will always be available for the young men of Pi Kappa Alpha.

In God's Grace,
