Clark Rahman (Florida State, Delta Lambda '12) was selected as the November 2016 Pike of the Month.

MEMPHIS, TN - Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity is pleased to announce Clark B. Rahman (Florida State, Delta Lambda ’12) as the November 2016 Pike of the Month. Pike of the Month award recipients demonstrate the True Pike ideals, working to improve themselves and have a positive impact on their chapters, campuses, and communities.

Rahman, a senior at Florida State University, was nominated for his leadership skills in the Chapter, on the campus and in the community.

As a reservist in the United States Army, Rahman was deployed to Afghanistan and rose to the rank of sergeant before his 20th birthday, making him the youngest non-commissioned officer in his unit. Following his return, Rahman served Delta Lambda Chapter as president. Under his leadership, the chapter raised over $20,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Tallahassee.

After serving the chapter, Rahman was elected as Interfraternity Council (IFC) president and created a unanimously-adopted initiative to waive IFC dues for veterans. As internal coordinator of the Veteran Student Union, he led efforts related to veteran recognition during the university’s football games and assisted over 400 student-veterans apply for and receive benefits.

Rahman is an inductee in the university’s Garnet and Gold Key Honorary and a recipient of the university’s Vires Award for the creation of a lasting legacy, and the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious achievement.

Rahman has maintained a 3.6 GPA while majoring in business management and leadership studies and will begin his career as an account manager with Level 3 Communications this January.
