Three Alumni Appointed as Regional Presidents for Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity

MEMPHIS, TN - The Supreme Council of The Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity proudly announces the appointment of three regional presidents, effective Sept. 19,2016: Marty Busekrus (Southern Illinois, Iota Mu ’96), Sunshine; Michael F. D’Annunzio (New York, Alpha Upsilon ’01), Atlantic Coast; and S. Shane Pate (Oklahoma State, Gamma Chi ’00), Arkoma.
Regional presidents are charged with the vital role of recruiting and supporting Pi Kappa Alpha’s alumnus volunteers – chapter advisors and advisory boards, house corporation officers and alumni association leaders. Regional presidents volunteer to serve a two-year term as representatives of the Fraternity in their particular geographic region. Pi Kappa Alpha has 23 regions in North America.
Michael F. D’Annunzio
(New York, Alpha Upsilon ’01)
D’Annunzio is a Managing Director of Commodity Products for the Bank of Montreal in New York. He serves on the alumni advisory board for Alpha Upsilon Chapter as chairman/chapter advisor. D’Annunzio served as an undergraduate vice president to the Supreme Council in 2004-05 and served Alpha Upsilon Chapter in a variety of undergraduate roles including president, vice president, and new member educator. D’Annunzio lives in Manhattan with his wife, Samantha.

Busekrus is a director in the South Florida office for HFF, a national commercial real estate capital markets firm. He has served Iota Mu Alumni Association as vice president and the South Florida alumni association as secretary. He has also served on the Lambda Beta alumni advisory board at Florida Atlantic University. Busekrus currently lives in South Florida and has two children.
S. Shane Pate II
(Oklahoma State, Gamma Chi ’00)
Professionally, Pate is the new city manager for the City of Nichols Hills, a suburb of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Since 2010, Pate has been associated with the law firm of Williams, Box, Forshee & Bullard, during which his practice focused on real property, state and local government law, serving as an attorney for the City of Nicholls Hills. Since 2012, Pate has served as an officer on the Oklahoma Employee Insurance and Benefits Board. Previously, he was a district executive for the Boy Scouts of America. Pate has served Gamma Chi Chapter in numerous capacities including undergraduate chapter president, alumni association president, house corporation vice president, chapter advisor, and operations advisor on the alumni advisory board. He was most recently awarded one of the inaugural Young Alumnus of the Year awards at the 2016 International Convention.
